Is this a replacement for my accountant?
No, and we will not pretend otherwise. Your accountant files your taxes and closes your books. YourCFO helps you understand your numbers day to day and make smarter money decisions in between — the job a CFO does, not the job a CPA does. Most owners need both.
How is this different from just asking ChatGPT?
A general chatbot has no idea what your business earns or spends, so it answers from internet averages and sounds just as sure when it is wrong. YourCFO reads the numbers you connect and does the math on your actual business. When it does not have the data to answer, it says so and asks for what it needs instead of inventing a figure.
Do I need to connect my bank or QuickBooks?
It helps, but it is not required. You can connect QuickBooks, upload a file such as a bank export or a spreadsheet, or simply type your numbers into the chat. Even a bank balance and a rough revenue figure is enough for a useful first conversation. The more you share, the sharper the answers get.
Is my financial data safe?
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, it is never sold, and it is used to answer your questions rather than to train a public model. You choose what to connect, you can disconnect at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account and its data.
